Recognising Coercive Control Online Toolkit Launch Event

Join me on November 30 for the launch of the Recognising Coercive Control Online Toolkit -#somethingdoesntfeelright

Come along to learn how the toolkit can support cultural change and prevention of domestic and family violence in your local area, focusing on early signs of coercive controlling behaviours.

Gain a look at the new resources, talk to me about partner opportunities for piloting in your group or organisation and network with like-minded domestic and family violence advocates and preventionists.

The event includes an address from Rosemary Cant, President of Soroptimist International of Western Australia, and practical guidance on utilising the Toolkit to either start or bolster existing early intervention efforts in your area.

When: 30 November 2022, 5:00 - 7:00 pm

Where: Pollinators-City Hive, 184 Marine Terrace, Geraldton

Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP: hello@theorangestory.com.au or phone 0417 158 519

Please get in touch with me if you would like to attend virtually, and I will arrange a link.  The virtual part will commence at 5:30 pm and cover the addresses and practical guidance of the toolkit.

The Stella Giles Award for Achievement

As the current recipient of the Stella Giles Award for Achievement, I express my gratitude to the Soroptimist International of Western Australia for the opportunity to be part of this award. It has enabled me to deliver a prevention product that has the potential to make significant change for women and girls across Western Australia.  It will also open pathways for groups and organisations to implement their own local prevention strategies.

Soroptimist International’s Vision is that “women and girls will achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide”.  I believe this project contributes to that vision and look forward to seeing the toolkit utilised widely to effect change.
